We leave the French Quarter behind as our bus creeps along Esplanade Avenue. We travel to what used to be the edge of town, which are now the bustling neighborhoods of Mid-City and City Park.  There are 42 cemeteries in the New Orleans area, and we will visit multiple cemeteries. We will discuss our unique burial rituals and practices during our strolls as we offer visitors an up close and personal look at some of the most popular cemeteries!

Cemetery Walking Tour

As anyone who’s ever seen a jazz funeral knows, in New Orleans we understand that death should be a celebration of life. That’s part of the reason no other city in the United States is renowned for it’s cemeteries the way we are. So while you’re here, why not stop in for a visit to New Orleans’ oldest above ground cemetery?St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 was founded in 1789. Due to unique environmental circumstance and centuries old Catholic tradition, standard below ground burials could no longer take place and the people of New Orleans had to devise some creative solutions, and so the first St. Louis cemetery was born. An 8 block area in what used to be the uninhabitable outskirts of town, home to the tombs of plantation owners, architects, pirates, a chess champion, a voodoo queen and Nicolas Cage. Our tour provides a full hour exploring the cemetery with a licensed local guide. Access to the cemetery is restricted to guided tours and space is limited, so make your reservations today!  Tour meets at  940 St. Louis St.9:00 AM - 11:00 AM - 1:30 PMTOUR PRICE: $25 PER ADULT
There is an additional $1.00 per person due at check in. This is a fee charged by the Archdiocese for their cemetery rehabilitation fund. Thank you for understanding.

souls still do not rest. You will join the N.O.P.E. team (New Orleans Paranormal Explorers) and get the opportunity to hold and actually use real ghost hunting equipment like voice

recorders, EMF detectors and digital thermometers. You will participate in a Spirit

box session to communicate with the dead as well. After the cemetery investigation we will transport you to yet another haunted

location where we will conduct a live seance led by Psychic Medium Willow Le Mechant. Spirits of the location and possibly your deceased loved ones may come through. This is a very emotional and interesting part of each night's experience. We will use the Spirit box and Kinect sensor equipment, as well as, Willow Le

Mechant's connections to the spirit realm to communicate. The activity that we have captured and experienced are disembodied voices, orbs, apparitions, spikes in EMF and being touched...

For one, the tour guide can, and will drink with you the whole time.
